Who we are

The Copyright and Technology Observatory is an initiative that seeks to analyze, monitor, and inform public debate on the impacts of artificial intelligence regulation on creativity and copyright.

Our mission is to build technical references in Brazil on the economic, social, and legal impacts of technology on the productive sector and its implications for copyright and intellectual property. We seek to contribute to the development of balanced solutions that protect creativity without obstructing the development and access to knowledge, supported by data, rigorous analysis, and multidisciplinary perspectives.

To this end, the Observatory promotes empirical studies, comparative analyses, economic impact reports, and multimedia content developed by our partners and third parties. Each author retains full responsibility for the content, opinions, and conclusions presented in their productions.

We also promote collaboration among experts, associations, and companies through an open and pluralistic coalition committed to rigor, clarity, and the public interest. This collaborative network enables the exchange of knowledge and experiences across different sectors, strengthening and expanding the reach of our initiatives.

We want to strengthen the debate on copyright and technology with clarity and evidence
